marine park golf course, brooklyn - the first ever new york beta sigma open - golf tournament, proved to be a fun filled day of hits and misses for both golfers and non-golfers alike. bragging rights until the next tournament belongs to eastern usa chapter betan brother, Virgilio 'Vir' Mangonon FEU-Med '72, having the lowest gross score, he also took home a gorgeous trophy to boot and the honor of being the first champion of the new york beta sigma open.
betan friends who also won by having the lowest net scores are Raymond Buking - class A, Jose Sanchez - class B, Carlos Del Rosario - class C. longest drive winners, Jassen Passi - front nine and Jay Romero - back nine. nearest to the pin winners, Clint Mendoza - front nine and Pio Pannon - back nine.
